Dear Parents,
I'm delighted to have your child in my class this year. Our first theme is about friendship. During the first weeks, we will learn school procedures. We're going to be having a Morning Meeting daily so we can develop friendships and social skills. This is part of our new schoolwide Responsive Classroom Program. Your child will have opportunities to share!
I'll assess each child in math, reading, and writing. Once I determine your child's level, I'll provide leveled materials for home support in reading & math in a yellow folder. This needs to be returned each Friday for refreshing after the Friday assessments.
Your child will need a daypack, a homework folder, and extra pencils and erasers. Gluesticks, crayons, and pursepack kleenex are also useful. Please label all supplies!
You can buy a pencil box in room 33 for $1.00. Please, do not bring a binder! It won't fit in the desk!
If you want to help out, Room 33 can use donations of paper napkins, kleenex, pencils, erasers, glue sticks, water bottles for field trips, band-aids, and white board pens.
This year, our big purchase will be a new rug. If you want to donate for a rug, please look for my request on Doner's Choose.
